Medical professionals have to go to school for a long time, but it's not like learning how medications interact is going to change someone's personality. As many dumb patients and absurd misconceptions medical professionals witness, an awkward interaction won't always be the responsibility of a patient. It's a good idea to trust doctors, but if one tells you the cause of your rash is divine punishment, maybe consider seeing a different doctor.
