Woman Refuses to Change Her Last Name for Ex-husband Who Is Getting Remarried to a Demanding Fiancé: 'I don't care that it makes her uncomfortable'

It makes perfect sense that not every marriage ends with a happy ever after. A completely distinct challenge arises, though, when one partner remarries and the new spouse is hostile toward the former spouse.

The story that follows is an account of a dumbfounded ex-wife. Following a decade and a half of marriage, the Original Poster (OP) and her former spouse decided it was time to call it quits. They had three lovely children together and coexisted well. That all changed, though, when OP's ex-husband remarried. Suddenly, all of their previous agreements are up for revision, including the fact that OP would now go by her ex-husband's last name.
