So the next time you do not feel like brushing your own feline fur baby, remember, this is how bad it can get, especially if they are not grooming themselves enough.

Often, matted fur only extends to the middle of the fur, allowing for some of it to be cautiously combed out and the rest to be gently trimmed. However, in extreme cases such as this, where the matting has made it all the way down to the skin, everything has to be removed with clippers.
