Keeping up with slang is a slippery slope. One minute you have no idea what the kids are saying nowadays and the next moment you're casually throwing 'no cap' into your daily speech. How did this happen? Like the children of the 80s who couldn't resist saying 'bloodymarybloodymary' in the mirror three times at the slumber party, we can't help but slip new slang into our speech ironically.
