Michelle Trachtenberg started her acting career with the Nickelodeon series The Adventures of Pete & Pete, then she was propelled to stardom with the cult classic movie Harriet the Spy, playing an adventurous and curious child spy. We watched her grow up in Buffy the Vampire Slayer as she stole our hearts with her iconic 90s look.

She was the quintessential "it girl" for early 2000s women. She went from talented and intelligent little girl, to cool, hip and fun pre-teen, and vacillated between wholesome and villainous roles.

Even in her supporting roles, she managed to make an impression on the audience that will last forever. She awes us with her "it girl" persona, and she will be remembered forever.

I remember watching her in films when I was a child. Harriet the Spy was one of my favorite movies. I looked up to her as a role model for being a curious, intelligent child. I knew that I wanted to be like that. I also remember watching her in Buffy with my dad and sister growing up. It was one of our favorite shows to watch together as kids. As I got older I saw Eurotrip, and she manages to come off as cool and wholesome in a crude and inappropriate movie. She will be missed.
