'I stood my ground': Orphaned 30-year-old refuses to give her future sister-in-law her late-mother's heirloom wedding dress, but the bratty SIL pulls big brother into the dispute

Family heirlooms are precious, and this woman in our next story was sitting on the Holy Grail of irreplaceable family mementos.

Watching your parents get older is a strange phenomenon. Once powerful guardians of the family, they grow feeble, weaker, and a little more fragile. Dads who used to walk 10 miles at Disneyland with one toddler on their shoulders and another dozing off in the stroller start to get creaky in the knees, wrinkled around their eyes, and grey around their crown. Alas, through the sands of time, there's one day that we'll inevitably be without our parents and will have to rely on their heirlooms and keepsakes to keep their memory alive. In their absence, we'll always have that cuff link, pendant, or wedding dress to have and to hold. So if that memorabilia were ever threatened, we'd do just about anything to protect it, right? 

Heartstrings were tugged in this next story where a woman clutched her late-mother's wedding dress and found herself backed into a corner by her own older brother, spurred on by the thoughtless jealousy of her future sister-in-law.
