I don't know about you but I love an old-fashioned name. I love a name that sounds like it was plucked right out of a storybook. Why? Because it's cute. A baby named Dorothy… c'mon. That's adorable. A toddler named Theodore? Almost too cute to stand. A kid named Beatrice? Color me tickled. Because babies are kind of like old people. They totter about and aren't very good at chewing, so it's fun to give them old person names. It's also a nice way to make sure that those names aren't forgotten.

I'll tell you what I'm definitely not in favor of and that's super modern names. Your Keightlynns, your Jaxsons, your Bradleighs. I can't stand those newfangled names and I want them out of here stat. But the most important thing to remember is that everyone is entitled to their own baby name. It's their baby, after all.
